Truth Has a Sting.

Melodious Venom was built on a single premise: that power left unexamined corrupts absolutely. We investigate, we verify, we publish — regardless of who it implicates or what it costs.

Our Mission

India's democracy is one of history's great experiments — 1.4 billion people, extraordinary diversity, a constitutional framework built on liberty, equality, and fraternity. Sustaining that experiment demands citizens who are genuinely informed, institutions that can be questioned, and journalism that has no patron to protect.

Melodious Venom exists for that purpose. We investigate corruption allegations against politicians of every stripe. We fact-check claims from governments and oppositions with equal scepticism. We analyse economic data to ask whether policy decisions actually serve the public — or whether the numbers are being laundered for optics. We amplify the voices of communities whose stories never make primetime.

The name carries its meaning deliberately. Truth, delivered precisely and without anaesthetic, can sting. We consider that a feature.

Editorial Values

Independence

We take no money from political parties, corporations with government contracts, or state advertising. Our editorial decisions are made by journalists — full stop.

Transparency

We publish our funding sources, correct errors prominently at the top of affected articles, and disclose every conflict of interest our reporters may hold.

Accountability Without Sides

We scrutinise BJP, Congress, regional parties, and every institution of power — applying the same standard of evidence to all. No side gets a pass.

Verification First

Every factual claim is confirmed by at least two independent sources before publication. We are slow to publish and fast to correct. Accuracy is non-negotiable.

To report a factual error, email corrections@melodiousvenom.com. Include the article URL, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and evidence supporting the correction. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
